Varnish Cache – cPanel Plugin (READ ME)
Description
Varnish is an HTTP accelerator designed for content-heavy dynamic web sites. In contrast to other HTTP accelerators, many of which began life as client-side proxies or origin servers, Varnish was designed from the ground up as an HTTP accelerator.
Performance
While Varnish is designed to reduce contention between threads to a minimum, its performance will only be as good as that of the system's pthreads implementation. Additionally, a poor malloc implementation may add unnecessary contention and thereby limit performance.
When the requested document is in cache, response time is typically measured in microseconds. This is significantly better than most HTTP servers, so even sites consisting mostly of static content will benefit from Varnish.

I’m trying to get varnish working on my cpanel/whm server but am having issues with ports and such. I have varnish listening on 80 and changed teh tweak settings in whm to 8080 and configured the default.vcl to 8080 but when I visit any sites under this configuration, it just shows the default cgi page.

You need to add the ACL to the IPs hosted in your server as sounds like you got many shared IPs which need to be defined from vcl

Hi Kaabi,
Thank you for signing up. Orders (and free trials) are going to be processed early next week. We’re a fully managed server provider shop so this plugin complements our offerings and is supported by our team.
How’s your work progressing? Do you have any pre-release screenshots? We might end up open sourcing the script in the long run depending on how things go.
Best Regards
